Digital detox refers to a period of time when our Internet devices such as mobiles, laptops, and computers get switched off and we focus on living offline. Digital detox can be applied to social media or to a specific application on our smartphone. Western society promotes the culture of business. Being online means you have an instant access to information related to every single aspect of your life. From news, finances, social connections, healthcare, education, entertainment to your dating life etc.
The busier you are, the better, as it signifies you are productive, effective and successful. Attending international summits, conferences, networking events, being part of endless groups, clubs, masterminds, and acceleration programs appears to be the synonym of success. But is it really?
Constant pressure to deliver, to compete, to know more, to be updated, to be always on the go can have a devastating effect on our mental and physical health.
